On moving to Jamaica Herricia joined the Financial Services Commission where she was Employed as the Senior Investigator involved with, but not limited to the investigation of Unauthorised financial/regulatory business, in particular pyramid schemes, reviewing and Analysis of financial services and company/commercial law to determine weaknesses in Perimeter investigations. Before being admitted to the Jamaican Bar, Herricia undertook an internship at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and was involved with drafting, reviewing and providing detailed Analysis of statutory provisions with particular emphasis on financial services law and Investigative and evidential procedures. She was required to review the evidence and advise on The merits of likely prosecutions. Herricia was employed in the UK’S Financial services industry for over 20 years, primarily within The Enforcement Division. She started as a Secretary and then progressed to Court Officer. Upon being admitted as a Solicitor, she occasionally took on the role of Prosecutor or Investigator dealing with the unauthorised community.
